    If you're running a gym, you won't be training many people, you'll be too busy with admin and staff stuff. To be a good gym manager, you'll need an understanding of training people.

    To have an understanding of training the ordinary low risk gym-goer, you only need (1) common sense and (2) Cert III+IV Fitness. EP is for moderate risk clients.

    To run a gym, you need some kind of Sports Management, there are certificates and diplomas, look into those.
