KB Swing: tips on form work.
The vid really starts at around 6 mins in...and the only thing I would add is that the breathing utilised in the demo is not the only style used, in fact it isn't recommended for long sessions where a breathing pattern of out for the down swing and in for the up swing is more preferred...with the style used in the vid, it's easier to end up gassed and gasping for breath a lot quicker than with a breathing pattern that works with the body...i.e. out when folding over, in when the body is expanding, which is a more natural pattern as well.
For those serious about KB work, many vids don't cover the finer points and some of these add a lot to both form and load useable, in addition to helping you avoid unnecessary injury:
When the guy actually did the swing, he was using his arms to raise the k-bell.
