Default Hi From Scotland!

Hi everyone, I'm a long term lurker, brand new poster.

I'm Nick, from Scotland and I'm a 26 year old rugby player/part time power lifter.

My fitness history is reasonably checkered - up until I turned 18 I played rugby 5x per week, and was in good shape, had representative honours etc.

Then university happened - I stopped playing and put on a LOT of weight (I'm 5'11 and I was 273 lbs at that point.

Since then, I've been cutting (very) slowly and getting back into lifting, alongside playing rugby.

At the moment I weigh in at about 225 (Christmas weight not shifting), lifts are as follow (these in KG's FYI):

Bench - 140,
Squar - 205,
Deadlift - 245.

Currently have a really bad rotator cuff strain, so haven't been able to press at all in the last 6.5 weeks or play rugby at all, it's getting really frustrating although I've just discovered trap bar deads and safety bar squats, so all is not lost!

My goal at the moment - to try and maintain strength, whilst cutting back this Christmas weight to around 215. Then, (hopefully my RC will be sorted) I'll be back onto 5/3/1 and putting up some big numbers in the off-season
