BuckElk96 is off to a bad start
Exclamation New lifter with little experience looking for any advice

Hi guys, I'm a Senior in high school and I'm a track athlete so I'm wanting to train to be as fit and strong as I can. Normally I just sprint but this year I want to throw as well. The only problem is i am not strong enough, so I've searched the Internet for days looking for a good workout and I'm wondering if this one will help me add strength and muscle to my skinny frame:

Monday:
Squat 2 warm up sets, 3 working sets, 4-6 reps
Deadlift 3 sets 4-6 reps
Leg Press 2 sets 4-6 reps
Standing Calf Raise 3 sets 10 reps

Wednesday:
Bench Press 2 warm up sets, 3 Working sets, 4-6 reps
Military Press 3 sets 4-6 reps
Dips 3 sets 6 reps
Weighted Sit Ups 3 sets 10-20 reps

Friday:
Deadlift 2 warm up sets, 3 working sets, 4-6 reps
Tbar Row 3 sets 4-6 reps
Cable Row 2 sets 4-6 reps
Wide Grip Pull Up 2 sets 10 reps

your routine will add strength if you are making steady progress (adding weight to the bar)

however, you will have to train in your sport to turn any new strength into coordinated power.
