Hello I'm I've been working out steady for the last 8 month trying to stay fit to keep up with my 5 year old lol I'm 39 found out about you guys on YouTube any advice is welcome.

Glad you found us.

Post up some more physical information about yourself, as well as what types of training you're interested in and have been doing. And look at some of the training logs here, you'll see that 39 is not a big deal as long as you've got the drive!

Personal tips that I've learned along my still short journey:

Leave your ego at the door.
Prepare. Showing up dehydrated, hungry, and tired will guarantee failure.
Be ready to fight for that grinder of a PR.
Listen and learn. Absorb everything you can, and assimilate that knowledge.

It has to be one of the better places to be online, if you're doing this kind of stuff (big/strong/ripped like it says). Also around that age myself, and also glad I found this site.

Thank guys I'm doing and upper lower split heavy on first day lighter for reps the second workout out I'm 5'10 and 180Lb I'll do cardio on off day with abs mixed in 3 times a week my main concern is before i start to gain size i want to get my body fat under control i lost about 50 pounds n right now my diet is at maintenance calories to try to get leaner without losing any more weight or strength is this a good plan or should I change strategy
