3/1 [friday]

front squat: 190x5, 205x5, 220x5, 240x5, 250x5
legpress: 410x20

Abbreviated workout - payback will be tomorrow. 4 year Anniversary with the wife - so I told her to get ready and text me when she's done. I was actually banking on her to take forever, but she washed up quick!! Those last two front squat sets were tough - I've hit 250 for some reps early last year & that's the last time I remember hitting them - I'm pretty sure I wasn't going ATG back then.

I'd like to repeat this workout again soon to see if that 250 gives me as much shit as it did. That 410 x 20 made me feel crippled! Was a nice shock though - I got to 12 & was thinking, "oh crap!" Managed to drive those home anyhow.

Wow, great front squat!

I love high volume Leg Press personally. Going heavy for minimal reps just doesn't "do it" for me, but high volume makes me limp out there and feel like puking - but in a good way

Thanks Kenn! Totally agree on the med.- high reps on legpress. Granted, I do switch it around a bit, I prefer slightly lower weights since I'm using some variation of squat with low reps/high"er" weight.

3/5 [tues]

Deadlift: 310x5, 350x3, 390x1, 430x1
Leg press: 360x10, 450x10, 540x10
good mornings: 80x2x12
lying legcurls: 45x12, 55x12
Pallof press: 50lbs x 3x25 seconds
Seated calf raise: 90x25, 150x2x12
Calf raise: 5olbs x 25

Strength continues to to shine - hit 430lbs; didn't come up as fast as 420, but there no sticking points anywhere in the lift. Am getting closer to my all time PR of 455. 540 leg press was g2g too; able to control the negatives and and hold pauses at the bottom - thinking 600 next Tuesday.
