Just starting
I have decided to get fit. I can barely walk a few flights of stairs without gettting winded. What is a good place to start to build up my endurance so I am not out of breath all the time?

Wlking is always a good place to start.

Walking for 20-30 minutes a day is a good place to start. As you become able, walk faster. I don't suggest jogging for people with any excess weight as it is rough on the knees pretty quickly. (thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it.)

I started to walk, and added more time each day. Even if it was only a few minutes, that really did add up.

Start walking. Aim for 2 miles. Once you can walk 2 miles regularly start jogging and walking 1 mile, then pretty soon you will be jogging 1 mile, then 2 miles, etc.
