I think between adding tempo work, and a strict rest between sets, you can get some excellent bodybuilding style work in.

Imagine doing 3-5 sets of an exercise with a strict tempo, and resting 30 to 60 seconds between exercises, and then maybe capping a bodypart with a burn set or two. So may great ways to train like this I could go on and on.

You could alternate between volume weeks and intensity weeks where you keep the temp longer and the rest limited, and really squeeze them there musckles.

Probably the most effective mass producing system I've used is extending sets through rest/pause techniques. With your strength it should be really effective.

I used a 5 set rest pause system where I would rest 30 seconds between sets. I Also used a 7 set structure which T-bone is using right now where the rests are 30, 30, 60, 60, 90 and 120 seconds.

Doesn't take many sets to fry a bodypart. Ran this for about a year and loved it.

Sounds like a good way to train BtB. I worked up to a max set of 6 reps followed by three doubles with 30 seconds rest between sets. Really fun.

Steve isn't a rest pause the number of breathes you take between sets, generaly its only 5 deep breaths between sets. The 30-60 sec is the general rest time between sets for a bber I was always told. I could be wrong.

I know when I log rest pause (5 deep ) thats what I'm doing. Maybe I'm logging my stuff wrong.

I suggest you rehab and heal the injury you have instead of aggravating it. If you want to bb that's fine but in either case you'll have to work around the injury. I also have a shoulder issue keeping me from hitting extreme weights, but I'm not giving up yet. I'll rehab what I can and then load the bar.

I totally agree Brother. Either way Ill have to work with or around the injury. My ego wants to load the bar, I know better now. I should have listened.
