Sleep

On average mon-fri i get 6 hours at night and a 2 hour nap. Is there a major difference between this and say a straight 8 hours?
I am good for 9-10 straight on sat sun.

There will be a difference, yes, but since you get 6 hours, it shouldn't be that bad...see this link for cycles of REM etc:

I am pretty sure the prevailing theory is that you cannot "CATCH UP" on sleep by napping. Something to do with your body's natural response to sunlight, etc.

I know you love Layne Norton, so you probably listen to the BodyRx Podcast.

This sleep expert, Dan Pardi, has been on the last couple of episodes as they examine Sleep or lack there of as an indicator of weight gain:

Dan?s Plan | Lean about our programs and philosophy on food, movement, and sleep

Enjoy!

I often do the 6-7 plus one hour nap and it's not the same as a good night's sleep for me.
