Not yet. I have never cared for lunges and always assumed this exercise would feel the same way.

I hate lunges but I like Bulgarian Split Squats. Something about having that rear leg elevated makes it feel so much better and really targets the front of the legs.

Here I am doing them. They start about 4:15 in...

I use bands to secure one end of the barbell to the rack. In a perfect world the high end should be higher than my lockout. These are amazing for hitting the quads directly.
