I would love the space and 's for a home gym... I wouldnt need much, squat rack, BB, bumper plates, pull bar, somewhere to do dips and a space to drop the bar in the oly lifts...

But space is not something i have, neither is money and as my gym meberships only costs 195 per year it will have to do, even if it doesnt have bumper plates

I've always been a home trainer. I've certainly spent my time in gyms but I haven't spent much money on gym fees.

As far as home equipment, I've always made due with whatever I could get my hands on until just a couple years ago when I started buying kettlebells and the Ultimate Sandbags.

That's all about to change as finish up my CSCS exam.

I Joined a high dollar fitness center and paid for 2 years at $1300 a year for the family but paid an extra $30 a month for the day care use while I was there.

After 2 years and my kids never wanting to go to the day care (causing my wife to miss working out with me), we decided it was time to invest in our home gym.

We redone an extra bedroom we have with new Rubber mat flooring and went shopping for gym equipment. This is what I ended up with.

I have an easy bar and a bunch of cement weights for it but never use the easy bar, i do my curls in the squat rack with a straight bar

My wife use's all my cement weights and the bar they came with so that we dont have to do so much swapping of the weight for each of us. She has not exceeded the weight that bar can handle on any lifts but Deads are pushing it. She is doing 115 now.

Well let's see, a couple of summers ago I spend 1500 on my gym set up. My local gym charges around 30 a month for gym membership, which means so far I've saved about half that; 720. In a couple years I should break even, then it's all up after that.

ITs great . The kids like to bother us but we just lock the door and tell them it better be an emergency if they knock.

One of my main goals is to have my own gym. It's a bit away yet because I plan to be moving in the next 7 months and would need some time to find a place to live permanently, then get the gym equipment in. It's a definite for me one day though.
