Default Belief destruction machine

A few posts here got me thinking and I want to do a challenge.

Post a common belief, broscience, myth, or real deal training or diet belief, and then you or someone else post someone who uses something different than that belief and succeeds.

For example, it is commonly believed that calves are best grown using higher reps. The counter to this belief is John Christy. In his book he remarks that he made amazing progress using low reps.

You must have xxx grams of protein every meal, for a total of xxx grams per day.

You must eat 8 meals a day to lose weight.

You can not build muscle and lose fat at the same time.
