Recent conversation with potential client(climber)

"My back and knees have really been bothering me."
Do you strength train aside from climbing?
"No, I'm sure I get enough from climbing!"
You don't think you need to do squats or deadlifts? kettlebell swings?

"Lifting and squating is what hurts"
I think you just have a weak posterior chain?
I'm FIT!
Obviously you aren't since you can't squat or lift and those are necessary bi-pedal movement patterns.

Squat, deadlift, swings, etc....
