Loved the article. I'm just now discovering the importance of deadlifting without tennis shoes on.

I love my Chucks. In fact, I love them so much my daughters are picking up on the love. My oldest daughter wears them too.

I need to pick up a pair now, sometimes I just go bare foot.

I wear the fancy Asics, with a soft gel cup heel. I've also gone barefoot at home, and see no difference. Then again, at home I'm standing on a soft gym floor material. I also run after I lift, so it's easier to just finish lifting, then start running without having to switch shoes... Not allowed to wear barefoot at my gym either...

I have seen those foot gloves a few people at my gym wear, but if it's the same as barefoot I'll go with Chucks to save money..

And when the breeze comes west off Lake Michigan, we can smell it...

when i got my chucks they were 2 for $40..what a steal! Ive done barefoot before and it works fine..but thinking about the crap thats on the floors at the gyms is pretty nasty. rather wear some footwear.

Wearing a pair of 90s adidas i found in a dumpster years ago for squats and deadlifts, they once were red, i think.
