Default Elbow Pain-Possible Bicep Tendonitis

For about 3 weeks now, I have had lingering pain my left elbow. It started during a shoulder and arm session on a friday after Overhead pressing.

The pain is not on the anterior(tricep) portion of the arm, it is on the front. I cannot bench press or do much upper body work without inflaming it and bringing on pain.

Speaking with lifters at my gym, they're pretty sure it's bicep tendonitis.

This is really frusterating because I'd been making great gains and even after stretching, icing, and trying to pump the join full of blood I still cannot do a lot of activities (like swimming) without pain.

What do I do? What additional info do I need to provide? Cause this really really really sucks.

Really tho. See a doctor. Hope it gets better.

If it is tendonitis, Better get use to it. Once you get it. You will get it again and again and again. The first time you get it. You need to rest it, Ice it, Anit-inflam, and I have found that PENETRAX cream works better then anything else.

Training from he on out will change a little now. Anytime you feel it coming on. Stop that movement and switch to something else. You will find out what triggers it how to work around it. I've had it in my forearms and hips. It's no joke.

Doctor did nothing for me. But go and make sure that's what it is. But a Dr. can't do anything for it. If it gets to bad. A Cortizone shot can help..

Welp, I went to the doctor and had my elbow and shoulder xrayed and examined. Ruled out tendonitis (its definitely not lateral or medial epicondylitis). Xrays showed no signs of inflammation or bursitis. Structurally looks fine. Was advised to ice it after use and to rest it for a few weeks. So I don't know.

Probably just going to cut out any pressing movements for a month and focus on squatting and deadlifting and actively trying to recover. Weird.

XRays wont show you tendonitis. If thats what your doc used to prove its not. find a different doc.
