I skimmed through the article, unteresting as you said, and i'll have to read the full thing tomorrow. However, short of gene therapy, I can't really think of anything that would be better or even close to anaboloic steroids as they completely alter hormone levels. Anabolic window, nothing really special about it, as you are anabolic for around 24-48 hours after training. I don't think it'll ruffle a lot of feathers here or on this forum!

I don't know why he feels the need to compare his understanding and results to steroid use. Nothing natural is going to make you look like someone who is on gear and knows what they are doing. What's more, if you are strong and accomplished and hop on gear, one of the things you don't have to micromanage are your nutrients. That's partly the point, I think, unless you are dieting down for competition.

Within a few hours after your workout is technically the anabolic "window of opportunity" in the sense that the carbs you eat are going to spike an insulin release and more of the carbs will be used for anabolic purposes, opposed to being stored. You do stay anabolic for 24-48 hours after training, like Braven said, but within a few hours after your workout is when you can really utilize insulin to your advantage. After the window closes you still can stay anabolic by eating more fats since they help increase GH levels.
