Loss of hearing

the other day on the TV show The Doctors, I saw a the segment that showed what was coming up, but I had to leave for work. But in the quick description it was talking about lifting weights and hearing loss. Anyone catch this or know if it is true?

Didn't see it and haven't heard anything about hearing loss, at least not permanent loss, due to lifting...look at it this way, Arnie would be stone deaf etc, if that were the case.

You may get temporary deafness, literally momentary, from holding the breath when lifting but that also occurs when holding the breath (for time) and not lifting; but it dissipates immediately.

The increased blood pressure can cause issues. I get warped hearing on heavy deadlifts.

Well, I haven't had any problems.

Predictable, but irresistible.

I go deaf during heavy lifts. I just thought this was normal.

my entire being seems to phase out of existence momentarily after a high volume or a heavy squat set
