Okay, now I'm confused. Please explain so I don't spend the rest of the day trying to figure that one out?

Caffeine just helps me to sleep it doesn't have the affect of waking me up, no idea why, but, it's always been the case...the more caffeine, the better I sleep.

That's different, I've never heard of that.

Yeah, I just did a quick internet scan and for some it can have the opposite affect to perking them up, weird.

Oddly, I don't have caffeine that often either since my preferred drink is cold water, so it's not one of these rebound effects from the body wanting more...it's just a case of if I drink a lot of coffee on a particular day, I will sleep like a baby that night, even if I've drunk coffee right up until I hit the hay...whereas some meds throw my CNS so out of whack that they keep me awake all night, as happened a few days back and I'm still trying to shake the headache from that sleepless night...that's an awful feeling, CNS overdrive.

I know what you mean. Some medicines, like cold medicines, mess me up so bad that I only take kid's doses.

Yeah...a few years ago, I had labrynthitis and dizzy spells and nausea, so the specialist prescribed anti-nausea meds...boy did I suffer, I wanted to scratch my skin off, kill mode in full force (not that I would, just how I term it), and ended up watching tv all night long because I couldn't even lay still and to top it all what was the only film on...The City that Never Sleeps, ironic now, really annoying at the time...

Went to the docs, four days later, after 4 days of no sleep, and was told to stop the meds immediately because I was allergic to them...I hadn't taken any that day, I couldn't take another of that sort of night, it wasn't so much the sleeplessness but everything combined that sent me over the edge , so to speak.

Caffine has the opposite effect for me too. I fall asleep almost immediately.

Everyone is different. I know for me I have to rest or else it takes longer for me to heal. If you feel up to it, you can lift.

If I feel fine to train then I do. But if the fever gets to me and I just am too exhausted to lift then I will skip a few days.
