Default Meanwhile at T Nation

Just posting the occasion schtuff I find at T-Nation.

Not hating, but some of it is rather entertaining.

seems like whoever posted that is saying "we hang out with girls" more than "look what i can do with weights"

I was impressed. I can't even pick up 465, let alone hang onto it enough to swing it. I don't know the context and rarely go to T-nation, but I like goofy lifts sometimes. I think it would be a great way to keep things fun and interesting.

I know that all weightlifting exercises are essentially pointless, but some seem especially pointless. Like this one: swinging a weight through about 6".

Having said that, I agree with Mike that it takes some strength to even get that off the ground.

Its not a swing. I'd be far more impressed if he could deadlift it for that many 'reps'.

Tnation is ok. I read most of their articles, but everyone over there seems to drink the tnation koolaid and think that they know everything about training. Mostly just a bunch of people way overthinking what to do with a barbell.

As a rule I think that tnation articles have got better overlast couple if years. Just the fact they appear to mainly be a supplement company put a dower on it.

I also read T-Nation articles and there is a lot of good stuff but I do agree that lots of 'overthinking' goes on.
As for that kettlebell guy, I'm damn impressed by that but then again, I'm not all that hard to impress when it comes to strength feats
I have never seen someone squat more than 190kg in my gym or deadlift more than 220kg so yeah, that kid's strength is fantastic in my book
