Wisdom teeth

I still have my wisdom teeth and doc said they should come out. I have no real issues with them, however, the other night while I was sleeping, I woke up with part of a tooth in my mouth from my wisdom tooth. Does not hurt me any but it is very sharp where it broke off. I just hate the thought of getting them out, anyone on here had theirs out?

Yep, they drug you up good, and you'll be spitting blood for a day or so but it's not too bad. I've had lots of issues with my teeth though, so maybe I'm not the best person to comment :)

Depends on dentist doing it. Had two pulled at once, no pain no issues. Had 1 that broke while he pulled it out and I felt the whole thing cause he didn't numb enough. Recovery was terrible.

These days getting wisdom teeth cut out is generally not a big deal. If your insurance will cover it, go for it.

diff people have diff experiences. my sister seemed to be in more pain than me and she had crazy swelling all down her neck. in fact, she never went back to get the 2nd pair done b/c of this experience (she regrets it now, though, b/c she occasionally has pressure & pain back there).
my experience was milder. they knocked me out for the procedure. i woke up giggly, and they put me on percocet. it was uncomfortable with the stitches and rawness but manageable. i had to get them out b/c i have a small mouth and they were preventing my incisors from coming down.

OH GOD WHYYYYY.

makes me think of this.

I had all four wisdom teeth taken out at once. No issues at all.

I still have mine, theres been a few times in the past they felt sore; but they don't bother me. I worked with a 70+ year old who still had his. If their causing a problem it should be a simple procedure.

I had mine out a year or so ago. They had to really dig the bottom two out because of how they were sitting. I couldn't eat solid food for almost a week. I lived off of scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes and scrambled fish. I lost about ten pounds. Got a bottle of Vicodin out of the deal though, which is always win in my book;)

I have mine still and they only bother me when they poke out once in a great while. But if it is bothering you, you might want to at least get the one out that broke off.

I have heard that having your wisdom teeth can cause many issues, I still have mine but really need them taken out. I read that if they are infected, they can make you sick to run a low grade fever, make your stomach hurt because of the infection running into the stomach. I just do not want to give up food for a week, or atleast the foods that I love, nor do I want to miss that much work.
