I have a pair of Vibram KSOs I use for lifting. I get excellent grip with them on the carpeting in my apt, since I train at home. Haven't done any running in them, but I do wear them out and around when the weather's nice enough.

Thanks for all the input everybody, plan on going one day this week to try on some shoes

Realized today when doing agility drills, I am on my toes the whole time anyway. Sprints could be interesting though, mostly just slowing down

Have you ever tried indoor soccer shoes??

I have been using them for years. I can use mine for anything - squats, deads, and running - and they last a long time. If I'm ever in the US, I try to go to outlet malls to look for some deals on indoor soccer shoes.

This is something I've been thinking about doing myself as well. I just can't decide on what to get get but i def. want to try a minimalist shoe.

I have vibram/tactical research mini-mils, which are like barefoot shoes, but in regs for uniform wear. I cant wear them to work since they arent steel toe. Comfortable, but a pain to get used to running in, and awful for marching since you have to heel strike. Have shin pains from it, but they are healing now.

Would make great hiking/climbing boots though. You will get heel and toes blisters though. Got a dozen bad ones having to run across base for an entire day.
