Default Is my progress good?

Hello!
My name is Brandon and I'm new to the forum. I love the Bearded Beast of Duloc's videos, we need more people like him on Youtube for the fitness community.

So here's my story... I bought a bench set about 6 months ago with about 210lbs of weights. I have been doing compound exercises, along with isolation movements as well. When I first started my journey into weight lifting I weighted about 150 (skinny fat at best). And today after 6 months of hardcore lifting I weigh 175, my body fat is around 15 and can see my abs on a good day. And today I hit a new PR with my bench at 200lbs for 10 reps.

Is this progress good? or better than normal?

Let me know, where you guys were at in 6 months to a year after lifting. I'd like to know where I stand. I have nobody but myself to compare to, so I'm not sure how I'm doing. (which could be the best thing for a bodybuilder)

They say that the only comparison that matters is when you compare to an older version of you.
So you've gained 25 pounds of weight, have more or less the same body fat (or even less) and can bench 200x10 after 6 months of training?

In my opinion, that is very good progress and you should be happy with it while always seeking to continue. You'll find on this forum that one rep at a time is encouraged because the lifters on here know the value of long and consistent progress.

What other exercises do you do and how do they compare to 6 months ago?

Welcome to the forum btw

What Kuytrider said is 100% true. Yo can only compare with you. Your progress over the past 6 months is telling how good or not so good of a progress you have done. Even in powerlifting you always try to compete and surpass your old numbers. Is all about better yourself. Sometimes faster than other. Keep going. I think is preety good!!!

This is from my first training log. I think everyone is going to be a little different, some may advance quicker and others a little slower. Though as long as you are making some kind of progress, its always good!

Don't compare to others but you are doing well, keep it up and you will be surprised at what you can accomplish.
