Late night eating? Its probably just something that you ate, or maybe you just had a lot on your mind?

Get up and do something. If this has been happening all the time then you need to look at your eating patterns, sleep patterns, stress in your life. See if there are changes that could be made. Maybe you need to cut out caffeine in your diet by a certain time, workout earlier in the day, learn to manage your stress, It could be a number of things.

When I was training for my job in the Army they had me on a horrible schedule. I went to sleep at 3 in the afternoon, then got up at 10 and went to class at midnight. This was made worse by the fact that formations would march by all day, doing loud cadences.
Almost everyone who shared my schedule discovered the beauty of MELATONIN. Cheap, and it works. BUT, only use it rarely. DON'T use it every night, or you'll become dependant. I still keep some around and use it once every 1 or 2 weeks on nights I can't get to or stay asleep. Just last night I woke up around midnight, wide awake. I immediately took melatonin, then had a great night's sleep.
Be warned; this stuff will put you on your ass. We had people sleep through their alarm 8 hours after they took melatonin, although after a few uses it won't hit you so hard.
