I would call your doc and see what she has to say. Do side effects last for a while on these meds or do they generally go away after you have been on them for a week or so?

I have been on the pills now for a while and the headaches have disappeared. I decided just to tough it out for a week or so to see if my body just needed to get used to them. THat must have been it because for the past four days at least I have not had the headaches.

Glad to hear that. Everything from hydration to to hormone levels have to equalize when you add chemicals to your blood stream...makes sense that you had to adjust...

Hope you realize that if you're new to BP meds, that this is the optimal time to focus on fitness and avoid long-term dependency on the meds.

Thanks for the follow-up...we all learn from each others' experiences here!
