I would fail at this. My hip flexers and thighs are shot. They are strong enough to keep me stable on the chair pull ups were my chair is straped on or short stands but when I do extra weight thats why I use chains around neck or strap the weights to my core.
A chair position but this is all thigh, hip fexer. Some hard lower ab to stabilize but more leg work.
If you can't do this for more than 30 sec's even with a tiny 25lb plate. Get to work on your front squats son. Believe it or not these will help your squat. These are one thing that made my hip flexers to big causing me to look like I have love handles even though I don't.
You want to grow? Don't follow the crowd. Think out side the box, find and do what makes you grow not your brother. How do you think all the "Guro's" find and learn things?
I did these back in the 90's for weighted pull ups because I didn't have a plate belt.
Back then I did 20 pull ups with a 45lb plate on legs. Then last rep was a 15 sec. static hold. I remember one time the plate slide off my legs on the static hold and almost took out Holly. (my daughter that was spotting me)
Chair dude did a non P/L meet 500lb deep squat PR at a body weight of 172lbs. back in the day. Things that make you go hmm.
