Default Chiros

How many of you on here go to a chiropractor? I feel like something has slipped in my back today and may need to make an apt with one, but I have never been to one before. What can I all expect?

Saw one when I was about 17y/o, that was for my back...the guy puts you into a position, then rocks you back and forth a few times then when you're not expecting it ,POP! he puts that sucker back in place

Not bad at all, not painful either.

Both my Father, and my Sister are DC's.

There are good, and bad, just like any other Dr.

I fully support good Chiro work. It can do a lot of good in many situations.

I have never been to one. My dad did not believe in them so we never went growing up. I just do not think that I would be able to go to one, I have heard so many stories that they try to get you in there all the time.

They definitely exist.

To the OP: Many of their claims are not supported by scientific evidence. Improvements in back pain following visits may not always be due to the treatment - there are other explanations.

I have been to chiropractors in the past and would not visit one under any circumstances again - not for back pain anyway. Having said that, Active Release Therapy tends to be carried out by chiropractors, and I found that quite good.

I use a physio rather than a chiro. Wouldn't rule it out though.

i love my Chriopractor. Realigns me and i feel noticably different, also does A.R.T. treatments and healed my shoulder.

the same shoulder that was blown off and just injected with lidocaine and cortisone by a sports medicine doc. dude didnt even take X-Rays.

I'm a strong believer in Chiros and Massage Therapy.
