Current things on my reading list;

- The Power - Rhonda Byrne
- Blink - Malcolm Gladwell

Both very good books, I love the 'Secret' series and am a big believer in it. Starting the 3rd one after this and then one from another Author (Their name escapes me but it's in my cupboard) which is related to it, called 'The Answer' - That one was a graduation gift

Just kidding.

I've been reading, or re-reading, the Hobbit.

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

The last three books I read are:

1) Charles Bukowski. Post Office. For everyone who feels their job is gradually grinding them into the dirt. A very masculine book, based on Buwkowski's own time at the US postal service.

2) Upton Sinclair. The Jungle. Fictionalised account of immigrant workers in the Chicago meat packing industry in the early 20th century. If this doesn't make you see the problems with unrestrained capitalism, absolutely nothing will. An incredibly gruelling but worthwhile read. Let to whole-scale reform of US meat hygiene standards but sadly not worker rights.

3) Virginia Woolf. The Waves. Very challenging as it doesn't follow anything approaching a conventional structure and it's very tough to see what she is driving at. Nevertheless, the prose is matchless.
