I am helping my 12 year old setup a website and Facebook page. I am going to teach her a bit about business and how to grow a website. Here are the details:

Site: FuZZ CatZ

Tagline: MeowZ. MeowZ. MeowZ.

Theme: Post everthing cat related. Popular videos, images, etc.

Goal: Grow the Facebook page to 10k likes by the end of 2012, as well as building a website following.

Facebook page is up:

FuZZ CatZ - Wall | Facebook

Logo has been created:

http://muscleandbrawn.com/forums/att...1&d=1327865679

Website domain name has been registered:

www.fuzzcatz.com

Will post updates as they happen.

I first glanced at the OP on my phone and was like, what...? And then I saw it was for your 12-year-old and I changed my opinion to: awesome! Really like the logo as well, the cat design is pretty sleek.

Is this like the "my friend has a drug problem and I want to know X" kind of thing? Using your "daughter's" site to cover the site you truly wanted to make but were afraid of public rejection.

Not quite. Silly Billy.

It's more like "she has 6 years until college, and can be making $1000 a month by then if we work hard."

Shadowschmadow 01-30-2012 09:11 AM

Sounds like a plan. Hope it works out.

Thanks.

Making "some" money on the Internet is pretty easy. It only takes patience, a lot of hard work, and the ability to make jack squat for several years.

I'll be keeping an eye on this. We're trying to grow my girlfriend's photography site to bring in more business, and this can only help with the learning process. Also, I'll try to get my friends to like the FB page. Shouldn't be too hard, cats are awesome.

My biggest advice on Facebook...post incredible image. The "shares" you get from them snowball and bring in likes.

I started doing this more often with MAB's Facebook page and it has added 3000+ people in the first 2 months.

I'll send the link to my mom, she loves cats. She is kind of a crazy cat lady.
