Blargh.
Never done that one...but I recall equally stupid "team building" exercises; frankly, I just think it's a way they get to have a good laugh at people's expense...these days, I'd just blatantly refuse to join in until I had a very good explanation of as to why.

I worked with a group of counselors for over 5 years. They loved team building.

An intense game of SEC Football is great for team building.

Saw the cup cakes. Saw POTB. Automatically assumed POTB was pot belly abbreviated.

I might be one of the few who can't stand a Tootsie Roll. I just never really grabbed on to the fake chocolatey flavor they have. But like cockroaches and Twinkies, they will be here until the planet explodes...

I try not to offend anyone, but to offer cupcakes in a gym is just gay. G-A-Y, gay.

Planet Cupcake and Maintain. Their new name, because your either a fatty who joins for cupcakes and pizza, or an someone who just wants to maintain their crappy living style by doing the bare minimum; 14 pieces of flare is good enough at PF.

I find it a bit strange that a gym offers the unhealthy foods, or foods at all actually, and I can imagine that half those that go there don't do enough to burn off the cupcake cals to warrant having one to start with...could just be a way of maintaining the status quo..."come here, workout, gain nothing, and we'll see you back here next week for more of the same progress".

That's it exactly 5KG.. They must figure keeping the clients fatter keeps them in business. Hey if the gym gives you a cupcake, it's also ok to go to the store and buy a dozen for other good things you get done in life...

You are spot on Babs. These treats seem to be some sort of 'reward' for that 20 minutes of holding on to the rail incline walking you did. Here, have a treat, have a pat on the back. Next, they'll be offering pats on the head and scratching people behind the ear.

PF might be okay for someone trying to bulk with the free pizza and whatnot

No deadlifting is just weak sauce and no power racks equally so.

Edit: It almost seems childish doesn't it? You did something you didn't really want to do so have a little reward. The reward of merely getting fitter and possibly improving heart health isn't enough I guess
