'What are you looking forward to this year?

I'm coming into what will undoubtedly be the most amazing year of my life. Not only am I making my transition into military life, I also have my baby girl who should be joining the world some time in late April. Add to that the fact that this time next year I'll hopefully know where in this world the Army wants to send me (which I find very exciting!) and it adds up to myself feeling that it doesn't get much better than this!

So lets hear it. . .What are you looking forward to this year? It can be goals you're confident you'll meat (is there any other kind?), new training styles you're excited to try, or anything else you've got on your mind. Big or small, it's all good!

I have an upcoming trip to India, where I plan on visiting different universities, talk to people, make a few research presentations and build up my network before I start applying for faculty jobs towards end of this year / early next year. From a career standpoint this is going to be perhaps my most crucial year so far.

The biggest thing I am looking forward to is losing 50 pounds, come hell or high water. My life insurances rates are out of control and I need to lose this to lower my premiums substantially.

I am also looking forward to paying off my credit cards this year. Almost there!

Joining the 1000 club obviously!
Getting some sort of financial stability.
Finally finishing my damned novel!

Sounds like we all have awesome things going on this year. My wife and I were lucky enough to get out of credit card debt before we got married. I have my parents to thank for that.

Kuyt, you're writing a novel? That's amazing. My wife has tossed around ideas for writing a novel here and there for a few years, but never stayed serious about it.

Lift more heavy shit.
Do my gym instructor and subsequently personal training courses and get a proper job that allows me to move out and move in with friends.

Looking forward to finishing most of my coursework and finally getting my degree is Computer science (albeit 7 years late)

Looking forward to a full year of training that won't be wasted on some fad routine or advanced split I wasn't ready for.

Looking forward to dropping some fat and adding plenty of muscle and dressing as a barbarian for halloween.

I am looking forward to new growth of the Natural W/C Class.
Handing the new WNBF W/C Pro's there trophies at the Buckeye and becoming a show judge.

Ah, another one :)

I'm hopefully looking forward to:

Rewriting my existing novel into two volumes. 164,000 words is too long, apparently :D

Deadlifting 600.

Walking in Scotland and France.

Wresting some control back over my life, after a pretty miserable few months.
