That was just awesome!

I love how he just grabs a pair of 80's, and then does reps for over a minute it seems. And he got those 190s's up solo like it was cake.. Guy is just amazing.. I wish I knew who he was when I was 5 feet away from him..

I was struck by how his approach is so similar to Fazc as in hit a max number (and recruit maximum muscle fibers) and then drop down to work sets. Not shilling, just saying.

What a monster though. He does more pullups than me and I'm 150 lbs lighter than him.

It's a pretty popular way of training, not sure where it originated but it has become very popular again due to the re-emergence of 'Bulgarian' training. They were well known for hitting a daily max which then set the poundage for the rest of the workout. So something like this:

Warm up to daily max.
Take off 20-25lbs for doubles
OR Take off 40-50lbs for triples (technique work)

If I am doing any repetition style work it has become fun for me to work up to some heavy sets and then back off for the rep work.
