Yes.

I am damn near pissing myself over it. And for that reason, and that reason alone, all of my starting lifts are going to be UBER light.

Gotta get in the meet. Once your in, then there's no holds barred. I'm pretty nervous

I'm thinking about opening as low as 500/350/475 for my first meet

Partially torn tendon at the origin of my quad on my 3rd attempt of squat. Gotta get an MRI on Monday to make sure it's not completely fucked. Needless to say, bench and deadlift were off the table. I didn't even stick around for the rest of the meet. Went right to urgent care. Fuck. My. Life. I am pissed!

Damn man. That really blows. The first two lifts were so smooth. Have you hit 370 before?

That would be enough for me. I would give up that sport. Good going giving it a go man. Hope you get better soon.

I seen too much of this type of shit on the forums about powerlifting to want to try it myself.

I've never had 370 on my back before. Previous PR was 335 in the gym but it was ass-to-grass. Not only that, but I repped 270 15 times 2 weeks ago so I felt really comfortable deciding to go for a 35lb. PR. Going down felt great, getting out of the hole felt great and then BOOOOM!!! Fuck. Sill so pissed off.

Fuck that!! I'm already thinking about when I'll be able to get back under the bar. See what jwood says below?! Reconstructive ankle surgery 4 years ago hasn't stopped me, the fuck if this is either!

270 x 15 is damn good man. I never had to go under the knife, so not sure how long it takes. My only tear was a minor calf and shoulder.

rehab can take anywhere from 4-24 weeks, depending on the severity. I tore my quad sprinting and it took a good 3-4 months to start feeling normal again. I did have a great physical therapist though.

Never quit. Its like striking out at your first at-bat(except it physically hurts instead of mentally).

why no knee wraps?

also, what type of suit did you use?
