Default Testicular Fortitude

Testicular Fortitude

Testicular fortitude does not involve leading with the mouth; it involves leading with action.

Quote:
balls, guts, intestinal fortitude
Quote:
Courage; a term coined by WWE wrestler Mankind, from the term "balls" commonly used everywhere.
You don't have to testicular fortitude to hit me with that steel chair!
Quote:
A more academic English translation of the Spanish word "cojones", that originally stood for testicles, two spheric glands part of the reproductive system of males, also commonly known as balls.

To have testicular fortitude is to show strength, courage and sagacity in challenging situations. The story of how strength and courage is related to two nuts encased in shriveled skin hanging from between a man’s legs is a fascinating story that i don't have the time to go into right now.
You can’t win with reserve and lassitude
And you can’t face the unforgiving multitude
Without the manly trait of testicular fortitude

I had an old football coach who called it, "intestinal fortitude". What you draw on when your backs on the wall and you have to come out swining.

His dad was given the Navy Cross for his actions in Korea.

Now this made my day:

Quote:
Voluntarily assuming command of his platoon during a fierce fire fight when the lead and all non-commissioned officers had become casualties, Private First Class Blick quickly reorganized the depleted and battered unit and led it through a blinding snowstorm and a vicious hail of enemy fire in an effective attack on well-entrenched hostile positions. Continuing to direct the assault after the primary objective had been secured, he spearheaded a successful attack against several hostile automatic weapons emplacements, coolly remaining exposed to intense fire during the entire maneuver. Although he sustain two leg wounds in the attack, he was personally responsible for killing fourteen and capturing four of the enemy, and served to inspire the men under his direction to heroic efforts in the accomplishment of their mission. His daring initiative, selfless determination and indomitable fighting spirit in the face of heavy odds reflect the highest credit upon Private First Class Blick and the United States Naval Service.

He is a hard old man, he about crushes my hand every time I see him. Doesnt talk about it at all. Only thing people know is what you read. His son has tried to get him to write it all down so when he dies there will be an account, but he wants nothing to do with it.
