Default Phone Apps That Help You Train

I was posting about a calorie tracking app on another site and it occurred to me that there might be many apps for smartphones that we use to help us with diet or even lifting.

My Fitness Pal (iPhone and Android). This is both a website and an app. I suggest setting up an account on the website first and then using the app to access your account.

BarCode Scanner (for Android). This one can be used for many things, but here is a sweet one. Sometimes when tracking your cals, you may not find the brand of bread you use, for example. With barcode scanner, simply aim the camera at the barcode, scan and ZAP! All the nutritional information will be imported into your fitness program. If you have an iPhone, I believe the comparable app is called Barcode Reader.

Absolutely great app. That's about one of the very few apps that I have actually downloaded on my phone. That and drag racing.

Too old for the latest tricked out cell phone? J/k... I personally really liked my fitness pal, and I'm pretty sure you can run that from your PC, just as you can your phone. Personally, I can't remember one complaint I really had about my fitness pal, but its been a couple weeks since I used it. I'm sure I had at least one, but overall it was a good program.
