Weird beliefs
 
Weird beliefs as opposed to generalised myths that you come across...



Today a 59y/o female informed me that at her time of life she could not gain muscle tone/strength because there is no elasticity; the older you get, the less elasticity you have...





...if you're now sat in complete confusion and astonishment, so was I ;)

Any topic, or just fitness?

Fitness I would have to say one of my favorites is the obsession that too much/too little masterbation impacts muscle gains. Whether it does or doesn't I could care less about...what I am talking about here is an obsessive infatuation by some guys that their compulsive self-indulgence is limiting their gains more than their poor diet or poor training habits.

And yes, I do receive questions about frequent masterbation at least one a month...

I work in a sub society that still believes that fat can be turned into muscle.

^^That sub society included one of the doctor's I saw; she stated that if I stopped working out, all the muscle would TURN to fat :D

The question of masterbation and muscle retention/loss is a very weird one...consider:

NO = They breathe a sigh of relief and carry on.
Yes = They ignore you and carry on anyway :D
