Default Aggressive women???

An interesting fact dawned on me earlier.

Men that don't workout who see men that do workout, to a degree always consider the person must be doing steroids.

I don't know how many female lifters anyone on the forum knows, whether they are just in it for fun or for competition purposes, but I've noticed a trend which seems to exist even amongst people that have never met one another.

When people realise that I lift or that my muscles are solid, they automatically assume "aggression" because they always turn to hubby and ask "Aren't you scared?", "Doesn't it worry you?" (in the sense of me injuring him)...since when did lifting weights for fitness or any other reason, for a female, equate to having aggressive tendencies?!

I'm one of the most peaceful people you could come across; I may know how to take out your kneecaps with one swift blow but it doesn't mean I will.

My Wife is doing a version of the Reeves, and is getting some good solid muscles as a result. What do I think of that aspect?

I LOVE IT!

We used to wrestle with each other all the time, just for fun. Her being strong is a turn on, and I don't care what anyone else would think about it.

I like confident women, and most women I know who lift gain confidence from the iron. But I wouldn't call them aggressive.

It's not like lifting is ....extreme personality makeover.

I bet those guys who ask those questions do not lift heavy.
And I don't mean just benching/curls, I mean all around lifts.

Well, I had one that thought 16kg was heavy which I found odd, since that's less than a suitcase limit for a flight.
