You could also try some rest-pause madness. I do rest pause on every workout, between every set. It's killer, but growth-inducing.

SS are better for cutting don't you think? I think the rest pause would be good with a phera run or something wet.

Well, just my personal experience...I do 7 total sets per exercise with 30, 30, 60, 60, 90 and 120 seconds between sets and I breath like a madman. It keeps my pulse elevated pretty good.

Give it a try with a heavy movement sometime like barbell rows or Romanian deadlifts and see if you like it. I think both are viable for cutting, but it's all up to personal preference. My entire 45-40 minute workouts are non-stop rest pause and I sweat like a bloated pig in a sauna.
