so basically we have 2 weeks to start making pr's

Your over thinking this. IF you set up for a ME lift that last week you only got 5 reps and this week you get 6. Your going to adding weight next week. So yes it counts.

JUST if you get 7 reps or higher you wern't using enough weight to start with for a ME, so it don't count.

Week 1 & 2 , PR over Last ME lift no matter the date.

Week 3 PR has to be better than any of week 1 or 2's ME lifts.

got it 1-5 reps maybe a 6th rep if cant add weight i got it bro

here's what i'll do:

Monday will be my ME day for BTN press.

I'll warm up and work my way up to a ME set 3-5 reps then drop weight and do 1-2 sets of 12 just to get my work in. then wed and fri back to normal 8-12.

then next monday i'll either add a rep to the ME set or add weight.

previous best was 95x5 so i'll set up monday with 100 lbs

Bench Press-130x5 is where im starting my 1rm is in the 175's but never did 5rm so gonna start lower
