yeah, im probably confused as can get, i think after 2 weeks it means we lose due to switching from working sets to ME

Yes. Its a ME set. If you get 6 reps on a lift last week was only a max 5. That counts Being the goal WAS 5, (you will be adding weight the next work out) and if the weight in a 5 set is a PR it counts. I just don't want to see people play sets and weight. Thats not truely a PR anyone can play the reps and weight for a pr. I could play between 6-8 reps and manipulate it to be a PR 3 weeks in a row for a PR. See were I'm coming from?

SOOOOOOO, the pr has to be in 5 reps for weight/ It cant be 6 reps to make a rep pr because it has to be 5 reps

How you figure? After 2 weeks you should have all your first ME lifts in for a PR base line.

rich what if i'm doing 5x5 style. would a workset PR count or does it have to be just the last heavy set of 5 so i'm shooting for a new 5RM every time?

I GOT IT!!!! SO's post below also helped since im going for bench press pr's doing 5x5 that last set of 5 has to be a new 5rm GOT IT
