I train at GL's gym. Located through the door that leads to the garage/laundryroom/storage area/winter home of the cat/ man cave/ gym.

It has all the equipment you need, and nothing more. If we don't have it, you don't need it. Thats the gyms motto.

I train either at Fitness Premier in Manteno/Bourbonnais, IL or at the gym I work at in Bradley, IL, or at my school gym in Kankakee, IL OR sometimes at home which is RARE.

I also train with my somewhat gf... We kinda split up but kinda still act like a couple, shes a hard worker and listens to me. That or I'll train by myself now, my last real buddy I trained with he went from 170 to 220 in a timespan of 7-9 months with I'd say minimal gains in BF from where he started.

I'm a few pieces of equipment away from being able to claim that, but it is one of my main goals; if I didn't co-habitate with my woman, there'd be work stations throughout the house...
Do you have any pics up anywhere? Would be cool to check it out...

That's a superb achievement - no doubt your buddy was getting good advice from you and training/eating properly - which is how it's done all too rarely these days...
I've read about your crappy bench at home TB. My condolences

Convenience is a huge thing! And as long as there are benches, racks and heavy free weights, you're set!

I've got a few I'll post up. They are in another thread about home gyms, I'll try to find.

I keep it very basic.

2 oly bars, 500lb 1200lb, 345lbs of oly plates.
1 oly EZ bar
1 1" bar set with 175lbs of plates
2 dumbell handles
1 bench with squat stands, and leg attachment
1 chin, dip, ab tower

I will be getting some more 10lb 1" plates for the dB handles.

I'am all about keeping it simple, and working hard on basics.

Thanks. I have an extra room down there that has space for one (or two) more piece(s) of equipment.

I wouldn't mind an old school leg press and/or a calf raise machine. But those will have to wait. Texas deadlift bar first!

It's honestly not so bad but something happened to the bench, made it a little wobbly and if I want to do chest at home, I have to unrack the weight at an uncomfortable level and I refuse to use the smith machine I have lol.

I train with me, myself and I in my freezing garage. It's all I got but it does the trick.

Of course I want more equipment, but my space is running out.
