I wish I would have seen this.
Spent Friday afternoon in the kitchen making four dozen meatballs to be frozen for later use.
I then pre-made a turkey sausage/egg bake for New Years morning brunch.
Threw a turkey roast in the oven for dinner (add a box of Stove-Top stuffing, and some frozen veggies on the side)
Baked a Guiness bread to be topped with homemade honey butter (which I also whipped up).
After dinner, I promised the eight year old I'd play a game with her. I thought she'd grab a board game from the closet, but no. Instead she made up a guessing game involving me guessing what each of the 50 states is known for.
Then I watched the kids celebrate the New Year an hour early with the folks in NYC. Hollered at them to pick up the confetti.
After the younguns went to bed, me and the Mrs. watched an old episode of Iron Chef, and almost forgot to smooch at midnight.

New years was good for me.
Spent time with the Wifes family. We had a couple of bonfires burning. My Siter-n-Law and I had one burning quite well. It was massive!! 30ft plus tall at the top of the flames, and hot!!
Giant BBQ pit burning white oak wood, grilling hot dogs, with homemade chili. Sitting around outside talking, and staying dry between rain showers. Got home just in time to hit the rack, and get some sleep, to show up at work this morning early. I'm tired, and need a day off to sleep.
Luckily I get a short week this week. Only have to work a 2 day, then back on my days off. Start my new schedule this week, will be working Friday thru Monday for the next 3 months or more.

New year was great.... a disco for the kiddies and a smooch with Mrs Carl @ midnight, then food, family, drinks, board games and singstar last night
I have been takied into getting Black Op's too by my daughter of all people...
Hoping for a great 2011, want to get fit, get strong and get big, all in prep for a holiday in October

I stayed up past midnight with my daughter watching Destination Truth, and seeing them hunt Elves in Iceland.
Yesterday I watched the Badgers get crushed in the Rose Bowl. I had 2 dark beers and 2 High Life's. That's probably all I will drink in 2011, as I am not much of a drinker.
All these family gatherings are wearing on me. I need normalcy and routine back!
