Not for me, I've never really heard anyone complain of that though that does seem like a legitimate question.

don't use the arm part if you don't want too. i don't when i use them. but the eliptical is the way to go.

set yourself up with some other things too because that will get boring when you have to do long sessions and sometimes two a day sessions. think of some stuff like a tire and sledge and sand bags a jump rope and maybe a heavy bag or speed bag some stuff you can circuit train with. then don't forget the simple things you can go out in the garage and do like burpee's, jumping jacks, and even vertical jumping for 60 sec intervals.
