700lb Deadlift + CnP?

717 deadlift at 176bw - Bodybuilding.com Forums

There's the actual thread I got it from. ^

Some background as to why I'm making a thread about it: My long-term goal in PLing is a 600lb Squat and 700lb Deadlift @ a max of 180lbs BW. Right now I'm running a program called Chaos and Pain. Link: ChAoS & PAIN: *ChAoS and PAIN - The Basics

As you can see, it's mostly heavy training and high frequency.

Now, I have had a lot of PLers tell me that the way I train is not optimal and so forth. Furthermore, they had doubts about me ever reaching a 700lb Deadlift while training that frequently.

I would like to draw your attention to posts #24 and #29 in that thread. Specifically (from the OP):

"I have no idea what Chaos n Pain is, but I squatted this morning for the 6th time this week and I'm just out on my way to deadlift for my 2nd gym session today, if that gives you any idea of how I train."

I'll let that sink in.

The guy is basically a Hooligan without even knowing about it, and he just unknowingly did something that a lot of people said was impossible. Furthermore, he is, to the best of my knowledge, natural.

Discuss.

Thanks for starting the thread. I emailed Tom for an interview.

I would love to learn more specifics about his training. If you hear anymore, please post.

Once thing I can say IM...I did good mornings 5 days a week, 3 weeks in a row and it never bothered me. This peaked my interested in squatting more frequently.

Tom did agree to an interview.

I am going to dig deep about his training practices.

That should be pretty interesting. When are you interviewing him?

Don't have a date tied down yet.

Are you gonna ask if he seriously has never heard of C&P?

Probably not.

When I do interviews I try to keep it organic and let the guys lead the direction of the talk. I want him to tell his story, and why he trains the way he does.

Nothing against C&P, but when I do interviews and ask questions like, "Have you ever heard of..." they usually sound like I'm proselytizing.

I don't want Tom to feel like he, or his story isn't important as it stands.
