Glad you liked it mate, saw it in the cinema a few months ago and really enjoyed it. Agree with you about the SFX, surely we're passed that by now... Needed more Magneto-Prof X time, as they were easily the best part of the film.

I was actually quite enjoying it, and Natalie Portman was a very nice surprise

Just finished watching The Book Of Eli. Meh, the cinematography was great and it had potential, but by the end I just wasn't that interested. It was trying to balance between being an emotional drama and action film and it just didn't have the character emotional involvement that makes one really involve themselves in what is going on - if you don't care about the character then the action being partaken in is boring. Still, it had its moments and looked beautiful.

Oh, and Mila Kunis...

Might watch Black Swan later. Saw that at the cinema and thought it was fantastic.

This.

Though I think this might be a somewhat minority viewpoint.

Hell Ride weird film but oddly good, in an unusual way; lots of violence and with some sex, nudity, bike gang wars and stuff.

I just watched the Gareth Edwards film, 'Monsters'. If you like your monster films like Godzilla, then it might not be for you. Personally, I thought it was really good - a film about monsters where the creatures are just a backdrop to a road movie/love story. Very low key and unusual.

I then watched a documentary about how it was filmed. Amazingly low budget production! There are only two trained actors in it - the rest were people they encountered during shooting, who were asked if they want to be in a film . This gives it a sort of authenticity and un-hollywood-like feel that's quite refreshing.

Smurfs, okay not a film most of you will go and watch but smurftastic; we were the only two to go to see it with no kiddies in tow

Cowboys and Aliens, was a really good film, plenty of action, not overdone with the special effects and a good ending, for a change, and nice to see a female as the heroine which is seldom seen in films, or at least many that I've seen.

Ghost Town, similar to the film Sixth Sense but also with similarities to a series on TV in which the woman has to help the dead move on.

I enjoyed Monsters.

Saw Apollo 18 and I was entertained.
