When I was single my grocery cart use to be something like:

2 boxes of powdered milk.
40 packs of Ramen Noodles.
10 Boxes Max & Cheese.
20 cans of Tuna.
10 cartons of eggs.

That was pretty much my cheap ass bodybuilding diet. I would eat 8 eggs per day, 64 ounces of rehydrated milk, and a couple cans of tuna.

I freaking LOVE Ramen noodles. I'm fairly certain they don't fit into my dietary matrix now though, but they are so nice and cheap. My boyfriend told me that back in the day, all he could afford was Ramen and pickles so he used to eat that for every meal, and he actually LOST weight.

Fortunately for me, canned tuna and eggs are fairly cheap so I end up eating a lot of both.

I always have about 20 packs of Ramen in the home. I only eat them about once a month now, but I had 3 packs and a can of chicken last night for dinner.

I also love pickles. They are my cutting snack food, along with tomatoes (obviously).

Sounds like you found a keeper! Ramen and pickles!

Doesn't all that salt (from the pickles) hinder the process??

Yeah he's a keeper, although trust me, those pickles are probably the only form of vegetable he's ever eaten in his lifetime.

In the long run, salt doesn't pose a problem for me. I'm all about surviving day to day. As long as I stay within the right amount of calories, and know I am losing fat, I don't worry about holding water.

Roommate's friend in college developed scurvy from a diet based solely on Ramen.

Wow, 3 months straight with zero vitamin C? Didn't think it was possible in developed countries.
