I never looked into ISSA much but, heard a lot of places knock its credibilty because of it being an open book cert.

depends on what you want to do with it. Most commercial gyms require an accredited certification, like these: Accredited Personal Training Certification Comparison

The NASM seems to be the top dog right now, I'm currently studying for that one to move up to a better gym than the one I am training at right now. Difference would be making 16 dollars an hour to over 50.......

I have the NFPT right now, and am looking at getting NASM, ISSA and the NSCA....the more the merrier.....most clients wont care or even ask if your certified, but there will be a few that once you show them a business card with a whole bunch of random letters on it they will throw all kinds of money at you...

Best of luck

Any mag you look at or advice people give in those top knotch articles are all NSCA CPT's or CSCS.

All depends on your goal and the respect that you want to get in return.

That's when you're training a clinet. I know some places like 24 hour fitness will pay you a certain percentage based on how many certs you have. If you're not training a client at 24 they only make minimum wage.
