I had a boss like that once. Everyonce in a while just decline to send the read receipt. Then tell them that you sent the read receipt. Maybe any doubt you can place in their mind will make them stop using it. The worst is some people set it up as a default.

My own personal list that is currently what i think sucks...

People that ask for help with a training program to prepare for a meet and then back out at the last minute because they dont want to pay a late fee.

Doing a meet outside in the middle of April in the Northeast.

People that ask a million questions with no intention of using the advice they receive from anyone

Unemployment boredom

Once a month my wife will get a bug up her arse and think that one of the cats somehow escaped. She will search the house and start to panic. She won't be able to sleep. I tell her the cat's in the house, sleeping in an odd place.

She won't listen.

This happened last night. She woke up this morning and the cat was following her around.

After 100 times you think she would realize....

My boss does that. I never send one back..if he needs to know if I read it he can ask. He also sits 25 feet away, so he could also speak up a bit..

I'll tell you what sucks...when the highest level group of leaders sends an email, and then every lower level has to resend it to of the troops. And then even lower level people keep doing it.... So I wind up getting the same damn, completely irrelevant to me crap emails all day long, multiple times.

And what else sucks with email? When an meail is sent to a bunch of people, and then 2 or 3 on the distro list carry on a conversation about said email by constantly clicking, "reply to all"!! WTF!

And non-email related...what sucks today is how I'm stuck indoors for another 2 1/2 hours until I get out..and then the suck stops, as I'm playing golf, drinking beers, and having a 14oz London broil for dinner...That is the ultimate anti-suck..

My kids' school sends out emails about baking drives to - like - 500 parents. And they ask that you replay to all to let everyone know who is baking what.

For the love of cheese I get like 7000 emails and couldn't keep track of them unless it was my full time job.

Put it on a darn website.
