My only thought, and I'm not picking on anyone, only thinking out loud; how can you count it as a full rep if you don't have a fixed starting and ending position? ie. racking the bar across the clavicles and going to lockout. That's why I always TOUCH MY SHIRT on bench preses. It gives me a sense of a full rep, and keeps my weights honest.

Don't know that it matters. Do what's best. I may even start lowering the bar to my chin, just to get some numbers moving.

I kind of feel the same way...I like to just barely get to my chest and make contact on bench, then explode up. For Mil Press, if the bar doesn't get past my chin, I don't count that rep unless I'm doing super heavy weights..

Default Am I that big of a pu**y?....

I won't say where, but most of you could guess... On another forum, someone stated if you can flat bench 185 x12, you should be able to do standing MP of at least 275 x6, 295 if seated..

WTF?! I must be wicked weak.. I can easily press 185 x12 flat, but am nowhere near even 200 for MP...

What gives guys?.....

P.S., He also confirmed his statement twice...

^^^ This made me choke on my coffee. I am yet to hear of someone who presses more than he benches.

I am calling BS on that post ricka.

I bring the bar down to my clavicle (collar bone) which is full ROM.
