Default Feels good man...

So even after not lifting for 3 weeks now, eating like a dumb ass, drinking up a storm...all while letting my back and body rest..feeling like crap, hating myself for being so lazy for almost a month......I had someone at work today say I look bigger and fuller in my chest, which has always been my crutch.. Even though this lady is a gigantic beast, she's very nice and seems honest..so I'll take all compliments I can get.

Now I just have an even tougher resolve to get back into it...I just keep having little twinges and pinches in my lower when ever I put any medium or heavy strain.. If it doesn't feel better, I'm going to have to face one of my biggest fears in life...the doctors office. Doesn't matter what kind, medical, dental, head, whatever..I just don't like doctors, or feel comfortable going to see one.

But enough feeling scared...right now, I feel good.. got my first 9 holes of the season in, having a nice cold homebrew after some very yummy grilled chicken(and a slice of pizza), looking forward to lots of college bball tonight..

/end random rant of feeling good, man..

That is always a great step when someone notices your progress. That little mini-bulk/rest might have even lead to an increase of an extra pound or two of muscle.

Feeling good is never a bad thing.

Thanks guys!.. I'm hoping to be back lifting within a week or two. I pretty much have most of my stash collected, and I'll post all that later in another thread. I'll put up my supps, routine, and diet..let you guys pick it apart... I may be getting into that local gym sooner than planned. I just don't know what to do with my old home gym. I've tried Craigslisting it, but I only got offers that were insulting.. If I join a gym, I'll really want that room for extra storage and other uses...not just a large painted white iron clothes rack...

Cheers to that man....

So...what's your shot? If not a cold brew, I love me a glass of Glen Fiddich, on the rocks..

Didn't want to start a new thread, to describe how right now..it just feels good man! I think I may break my ever so un-holy plateau of 230, going down. I haven't seen lower than 233 in almost a year. But with my detox diet in full swing, I felt lighter. I told myself I wouldn't even look at the scale for at least a week. But when I looked in the mirror today, I had a double take..I looked leaner, especially at my mid-section. So I measured my waist; and was way lower than I thought. Still have work there, but with all beers I usually drink that's a lifetime battle..and frankly one I don't care to fight so much. A six pack would be nice, but only it just happens.

Anyway, so down with the scale on the floor. Took a long piss, a deep breath, and stepped up................................................ .................................................. .................................................. ...............................BAM! 230.5!!!! I actually didn't believe it, stepped off and tried again. 230.5! YES! I also did the BIA BF% thing on the scale. Rubbed a few drops of water on the scale contacts like it says to, but it read I was at 16.8%...something I just find hard to believe. I'm going to use my new calipers and check it that way too. So good for me..but now the challenge is to not F it up this weekend. I can deal with it for tomorrow and Friday, but I 99.999% of the time, go drinking with buddies on Friday, and usually Saturday nights. Of course, that usually leads to dumb eating, so maybe just a couple beers..I know I can do it, I just hate being the guy who's not tossing back the suds all night...

Congrats on the weight!

Regarding bodyfat scales like that, they are highly inaccurate. Calipers are the only way to go and glad to see you'll be using them. Too many guys get false hopes from those scales.

How tall are you?

Thanks man..

I know those scales are flaky..I've seen it say I was at 45%..then after a shower I'm down to 20% or lower sometimes...must be one hell of a shower..lol It has to be done exactly the same each time..which many people will never get done correctly. I used some older calipers I got from bb.com for free years ago.. This time, I'll be using..uhh, another, but different set of calipers I got free from..yeah.. They are the Defender one-handed, "more accurate tensioner" thingy type. I may have to get some help with the getting pinches correct..eventually, I want to find a Bod-Pod and get a real underwater measurement..but those aren't cheap.

I'm 6' tall... I like to say 6' .5", but in reality, 6' is all I can really claim. I have a larger natural build, pretty wide shoulders, very thick bone density too. I actually had to get a weight waiver when I went to boot camp....
