Default Finger tendon?

So guys, I messed up my finger either pulling my sock up or turning my SBDs inside out. First, yes I have a doctor appt later. I'm not meaning to whine or cry here but I want to ask, anyone had a finger do this?

I have been told I messed up my tendon and will need to splint it and keep it strait for 6-8 weeks. Also, that the time would start over if I bent the tendon in that time. I can't tell you how much I need that advice to be wrong. I'd rather cut the damn thing off so I don't miss my meet.

Any experience?

It looks form your pic (I didn't watch the video) like you have "trigger finger". And yea that's a tendon issue. It happened to my buddy many years ago playing football. It ended his year, but we were close to the end of the season anyhow. I don't remember what he had done to it exactly or exactly what he had injured. Yours could be something different but he had a splint on his hand for 2 months or so. I will text him and see if he remembers what he did and what they did to him. Not that it'll matter for you, and chances he won't remember as that was 18~ years ago.
Sorry to hear you f'ked up your hand

Thanks everyone. either the mallet finger and the splint or needing surgery and I cut the thing off myself. Either way, i managed to hurt myself doing nothing an I'm south of pleased that Ill be out of my meet. I've heard that sometimes they'll let you switch meets if injured, we'll see. I would have rather been shot

Fellas, I successfully negotiated squats and dead lifts without bending the middle finger on my left hand. Trying bench at the gym this evening while I train some guys in case it goes wrong. I used Versa gripps as the weights got heavier but i might not need to once I can get the correct splint. I'dd have it up in my log after trying bench
